Cowdin resigns as coach for Minnesota West

WORTHINGTON — Minnesota West head wrestling coach Bryan Cowdin announced his resignation on Wednesday.

Cowdin, a two-time state champion at Worthington High School, wrestled for the Bluejays during the 2001-02 season. He was named the Minnesota College Athletic Conference Outstanding Wrestler of the Year and was a NJCAA All-American while competing for the Jays, then was an All-American for South Dakota State University.

After leading the Minnesota West program for a second year, Cowdin said he stepped down due, in part, to time demands. He has a full-time job outside of his wrestling responsibilities. Continue reading at www.dglobe.com
