Jacob Schmitz of Dassel-Cokato has committed to wrestling and playing football for Saint John’s University next season.
Schmitz is a two-time state entrant and one-time state placewinner. He was the Class AA 182-pound fifth-place finisher this season. He qualified at 195 pounds as a junior.
Schmitz is projected to wrestle at 197 pounds or heavyweight for the Johnnies.
