St. Cloud State University wrestling coach Steve Costanzo will be inducted into the Dana College Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 5.
In 2006, Costanzo led Dana College (Neb.) to the NAIA National Championship (with a tourney record 193 points) and an NWCA National Duals Championship. His squads while at Dana College won Great Plains Athletic Conference titles in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. In addition, his teams claimed Regional Championships in 2001, 2002, 2005 and 2006. The Vikings finished with top 10 finishes at the NAIA National Championships in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
Costanzo joined the coaching staff at SCSU in 2006-07 and he has since established St. Cloud State University as the nation’s premier NCAA Division II wrestling program. The Huskies have won NCAA Division II national titles in 2019, 2018, 2016 and 2015. SCSU has won eight consecutive NSIC conference titles and it has won NCAA DII Regional titles in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2017, 2018 and 2019. At the annual NWCA DII National Duals, the Huskies have won national titles in 2012, 2013, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Costanzo received NAIA Coach of the Year honors at Dana in 2006 and NAIA Regional Coach of the Year in 2005. At SCSU, Costanzo was named the NCAA DII Coach of the Year in 2016 and 2011.

In 2018-19, the Huskies posted a 20-0 overall record and an 8-0 record in the always rugged NSIC. SCSU has only lost seven dual matches since the 2010-11 season and the Huskies have not lost an NSIC dual match since 2011-12 under the leadership of Costanzo. Of note, SCSU has charted undefeated dual match seasons in 2011-12, 2012-13, 2017-18 and 2018-19.
