Gehloff goes 0-1 at Cadet World Championships

Waseca wrestler Mason Gehloff went 0-1 at the UWW Cadet World Championships on August 3rd in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Gehloff, who wrestled Greco-Roman at 45 kg (99.2 lbs.), lost to Gheorghita Scheul of Romania 6-2 in his first match. Schuel later lost to Mahdi Ahadi Zenab of Iran to end Gehloff’s tournament.

Gehloff, who won a high school state championship in 2019, will begin his junior year at Waseca in the fall.

The 2019 Cadet World Championships runs from July 29th through August 4th.
