ROCHESTER, Minn. – Sophomore Joaquin Montero of the St. Olaf College wrestling team dropped both of his matches on Saturday at the Yellowjacket Open.
Competing at 157 pounds, Montero was pinned by Ryan Steffen of Upper Iowa University at 2:24 in his opening-round match. He then lost a 3-0 decision to Tavoris Smith of Iowa Lakes Community College.
St. Olaf will compete at the Auggie-Adidas Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 23 starting at 9 a.m. at Augsburg’s Si Melby Hall.
