The #1 St. Cloud State University wrestling team (15-0, 7-0 NSIC) continued its amazing string of success by clinching at least a share of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference championship for the ninth consecutive season thanks to a 29-9 victory over #10 Upper Iowa (12-5, 5-3 NSIC) on Thursday, Feb. 13 at SCSU’s Halenbeck Hall in St. Cloud, Minn.

SCSU has now claimed NSIC titles in 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013 and 2012. Both Augustana and Minnesota State currently own 5-1 conference records.

In a closely contested match against the #10 ranked Peacocks, St. Cloud State opened the night with a big 14-5 major decision win by #2 Tyree Overton against UIU’s Dalton Hahn at 184-pounds.
