Statement posted on the NYWA website:
It comes with great disappointment that it has come to this, but NYWA is canceling all district and regional events, both team and individual. As you’re all aware, it is a decision that is out of our control as schools are canceling as is everything else. The state tournament could potentially take place as an open event if things subside but we cannot bank on anything at this point. This is not how we saw the 25th year of NYWA being played out but thank you all for your support and participation.
