Charlie Pickell of Mankato West has committed to wrestling for Augsburg University next season.
Pickell is a three-time state champion and a five-time finalist. He won the Class AA 132-pound title in 2020 as a senior, the 113-pound title as a freshman, and the 106-pound title as an eighth-grader. He was runner-up at 132 pounds as a junior and at 126 pounds as a sophomore.
Pickell was a two-time Rumble on the Red Tournament champion and four-time finalist. He was a three-time Redwood River Riot Tournament champion.
Pickell is No. 2 on The Guillotine’s latest Pound-For-Pound Class of 2020 Rankings.
He is projected to wrestle at 133 pounds for the Auggies.
