College Recruiting: two-time state champion DeBlaere to Oregon State University

Chase DeBlaere of Simley has committed to wrestling for Oregon State University following his upcoming junior and senior seasons.

DeBlaere is a two-time state champion, winning the Class AA 126-pound title in 2020 as a sophomore and the 120-pound title as a freshman. He is a two-time Minnesota Christmas Tournament third-place finisher.

DeBlaere is No. 4 on The Guillotine’s latest Pound-For-Pound Class of 2022 Rankings.

He is projected to wrestle at 133 or 141 pounds for the Beavers.
