Derek Steele of Sibley East has committed to wrestling for Augsburg University next season.
Steele is a two-time state finalist winning the 113-pound Class A title in 2020 as a junior. He was runner-up at 113 pounds as a sophomore and was a state entrant at 113 pounds as a freshman.
Steele has had success at the state level in both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.
Steele is projected to wrestle at 125 or 133 pounds for the Auggies.
