SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Augustana wrestling team had eight student-athletes sign a National Letter of Intent to continue their athletic and academic careers at Augustana, head coach Jason Reitmeier announced Monday. The eight athletes will enroll as freshmen in the fall of 2021.
“I am excited to announce our early signees for the signing class of 2021,” Reitmeier said. “Everyone in this class comes in with many accolades, both athletically and academically. We are truly proud of their prior accomplishments and even more excited to see what they accomplish in the future at Augustana.
“After focusing last year on the upper weights we really tried to bring in the best student-athletes in the lower-to-middle weights that could complement, help and add to our current roster. I think we have done that with this group, adding in a lot of talent, energy, positivity, and exceptional work ethic in all areas of their lives.”
