College Recruiting: two-time state finalist Short to University of Wyoming

Quayin Short of Simley has committed to wrestling for University of Wyoming following his upcoming senior season.

Short is a three-time state placewinner. He was the Class AA 182-pound runner-up in 2020 as a junior. Short placed fourth at 182 pounds as a sophomore and was runner-up at 152 pounds as a freshman. He was a state qualifier at 138 pounds as an eighth-grader.

Short was a USA Wrestling Cadet Freestyle national champion in 2018 and is No. 7 on The Guillotine’s latest Pound-For-Pound Class of 2021 Rankings.

Short is projected to wrestle at 184 pounds for the Cowboys.
