MSUM’s Jones Named as NSIC Wrestler to Watch

BURNSVILLE, Minn. — Minnesota State University Moorhead junior Cole Jones has been named as a wrestler to watch in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference’s preseason preview released on Tuesday.

A native of Grand Rapids, Minn., Jones was All-American in 2018-19 at 125 pounds for the Dragons. He posted a 29-10 record.

He sat out 2019-20 with an injury. He has a career record of 49-23 at MSUM.

The Dragons were picked eighth in the NSIC preseason coaches poll, which was led by St. Cloud State.

MSUM opens the regular season on Jan. 7 at home against Southwest Minnesota State. MSUM is scheduled to wrestle six NSIC duals this season.
