MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling team is set for its home finale on Thursday when it hosts Minot State. The dual begins at 7 p.m. at Nemzek Fieldhouse.
Fans will not be allowed for Thursday’s dual but the match can be followed here. Live results can be followed at trackwrestling.com.
MSUM is 0-2 overall and in the NSIC while Minot State is 0-4 overall and 0-3 in the league.
It’s the first competition for the Dragon wrestling team since Jan. 14 when MSUM lost to No. 20 Upper Iowa. Junior Braydon Ortloff won by major decision at 165 for MSUM’s lone win.
Ortloff is 2-0 on the season for MSUM. Junior Cole Jones is ranked 12th in Division II at 125 and is 1-1. Senior Tell Ward is 1-0 at 157 while freshman Gage Roaldson is 3-0 in exhibition matches.
Kris Nelson is in his 12th season as the MSUM head coach.
About Minot State
The Beavers, coached by former Dragon wrestler and assistant coach Evan Forde, are 0-4 on the season after losing to UMary 24-20 in their last action on Jan. 28. Keegan Berry is 4-0 at 184 for Minot while Jordan Will is 3-1 at 285. Evan Forde is in his fifth season as the Minot head coach.
