INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – The matchups are set. The brackets are live. In just six short days, eight St. Cloud State University wrestlers will head to St. Louis, Missouri looking to defend its 2019 national title, as the NCAA announced the brackets for the 2021 championships late Friday afternoon.
The brackets included eight Huskies, six of which were seeded entering the national championship, which will take place March 12-13 in St. Louis, Missouri. Of those six seeded wrestlers, three were ranked No. 1 in their weight class, including Garrett Vos (Bonifacius, Minn. / Waconia), Devin FitzPatrick (Mahtomedi, Minn. / Mahtomedi) and Kameron Teacher (Grove City, Ohio / Columbus).
The NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships will take place March 12-13 at America’s Center Convention Complex in St. Louis, Missouri. The No. 3 ranked Huskies enter the tournament as the defending national champions, as the 2020 national championship was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
