Metz Finishes Fifth in Freestyle at U23 Nationals

LINCOLN, Neb. – North Dakota State heavyweight Brandon Metz added to his Greco-Roman national championship a fifth-place finish in the freestyle division at the United World Wrestling Under-23 national championships held May 27-29 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.


Metz, who earned a spot on Team USA for the U23 Greco-Roman world championships this November in Serbia, was one of six NDSU wrestlers representing the Bison Wrestling Club at the freestyle national championships. Here are the final results for all six competitors:
