SMSU Wrestling To Host Annual Golf Fundraiser

MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University wrestling program will be hosting its second annual SMSU Wrestling Golf Outing – presented by Marshall Auto Exchange – on Saturday, Sept. 18, at Countryside Golf Course in Minneota.

The four-person scramble tournament costs just $75 per person or $300 per team. Registration includes 18 holes of golf, golf cart, burger basket, and beverages (while supplies last). There will be prizes awarded throughout the day to individuals and a silent auction for items. Hole sponsorships are also available at $200.

Proceeds from the tournament will go towards supporting the Mustang wrestling program.

“The SMSU wrestling golf outing is a great opportunity to bring together wrestling fans, families, and alumni to celebrate the SMSU Wrestling heritage,” said first-year head coach Chayse Jackson. “I look forward to a great day of mediocre golf, good food, and good people. This experience will provide funding to the SMSU wrestling program as we look to build on our success last year and compete in National Duals this January. The outing will also be a great chance to bring everyone together before the Ag Bowl that evening.”
