All ten Gopher duals will air on conference streaming platforms; Six duals to be nationally-broadcasted on BTN
MINNEAPOLIS – The Big Ten Conference announced the wrestling television schedule for the 2021-22 season on Thursday morning, as all ten Minnesota duals are set to be aired across the conferences’ streaming platforms. Six of those duals are scheduled to be on the primary Big Ten Network national broadcast.
Season coverage will begin at the home opener on Saturday, November 20, as BTN will televise the latest installment of the storied Minnesota-Oklahoma State rivalry. The following weekend, the home contest vs. South Dakota State will be streamed on B1G+ on Sunday, Nov. 28 at 6:00 pm.
Conference matches for the Gophers will begin on Friday, Jan. 7, and will begin with a string of three nationally-televised duals on Big Ten Network against Iowa (Jan. 7, 8:00 pm), Northwestern (Jan. 9, TBD), and Nebraska (Jan. 14, 8:00 pm).
B1G+ will stream the annual Border Battle against Wisconsin on Sunday, Jan. 16 at 1:00 pm, before Minnesota returns back to BTN for their Jan. 28 dual against Michigan at 6:00 pm in a bout that could feature an NCAA heavyweight final rematch between Gable Steveson and Michigan’s Mason Parris.
The Gophers return back to BTN+ for a pair of road duals against Illinois (Feb. 4, TBD), and Purdue (Feb. 6, TBD), and the final nationally-televised dual for the Gophers will take place on Friday, Feb. 11 at 8:00 pm, as they play host to Ohio State for the regular-season finale.
