Payton Handevidt of Jackson County Central has signed a Letter of Intent to wrestle for Augustana University in 2022.
Handevidt is a three-time state placer and a two-time state champion. He won the Class A 152-pound title in 2021 as a junior and the 145-pound title in 2020. He was sixth at 120 pounds as a freshman.
He is No. 9 on The Guillotine’s latest Pound-For-Pound Class of 2022 Rankings.
Handevidt is projected to wrestle at 165 pounds for the Vikings.
