St. Cloud, Minn. – No. 1 St. Cloud State Wrestling continues their 2021-22 competition schedule with the Dakota Wesleyan Open in Mitchell, South Dakota on Saturday. Held by Dakota Wesleyan, the open will begin at 9:00 a.m. CST. Live scores and brackets are available on TrackWrestling.
The Huskies showed well at their first open last Saturday in Moorhead with nine wrestlers earning Cobber Open Titles as the team piled up 17 top-three finishes. Redshirt sophomore Anthony Herrera was named NSIC Wrestler of the Week after going 2-0 with wins over the No. 3 and No. 10 ranked wrestlers in the 157 Gold division.
Herrera was joined by Robby Horsman (125 Gold), No. 2 Garrett Vos (133 Gold), No. 1 Joseph Bianchini (141 Gold), Anthony Herrera (157 Gold), Dominic Murphy (174 Gold), Nate Rocheleau (141 Maroon), Nolan Throne (149 Maroon), Jimmy Pierandozzi (157 Maroon) and Sebastian Zamorano (165 Maroon) on the top of the podium at the Finn Grinaker Open.
The Huskies open their dual schedule on November 20 at Halenbeck Hall against Lake Erie College.
