St. Cloud, Minn. – No. 2 St. Cloud State Wrestling prepares to defend their run of four straight NWCA National Dual Championships this week at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville. The Huskies are ranked No. 2 in the country by the National Wrestling Coaches Association and will open the Duals with RV King University. Competition begins on Thursday, January 6 at 10:00 a.m. CST.

The Huskies have won six NWCA National Duals, including titles in each of the last four competitions. SCSU’s side of the 15-team bracket features No. 5 Nebraska-Kearney, No. 8 Indianapolis, No. 11 Ashland, RV Fort Hays State, RV UNC-Pembroke, and RV King. The remaining eight teams in the field are No. 1 Central Oklahoma, No. 3 McKendree, No. 9 Findlay, No. 14 Upper Iowa, No. 15 Colorado Mesa, No. 18 Mercyhurst, RV Tiffin, and Newberry.
Seeded second in the bracket, the Huskies travel roster features 17 wrestlers including eight nationally-ranked competitors. Reigning NWCA DII National Wrestler of the Year and NCAA Heavyweight Champion Kameron Teacher will be making his season debut at the National Duals. St. Cloud State’s impressive depth will be on full display, as each of the 16 who have wrestled this season enter the Duals with winning records. Seven NCAA and NJCAA All-Americans are among the Huskies’ entrants – Garrett Vos, Joseph Bianchini, Jake Barzowski, Colby Njos, Anthony Herrera, Noah Ryan, and Kameron Teacher.
