The Mayo Civic Center Region I Wrestling Hall of Fame Committee has selected eight new members for induction on Monday, March 7, 2022.
The banquet will be held at Charlie’s Eatery, 1654 US 52 N, Rochester, Minn.
Social Hour will be from 5.00-6.00 PM. The program will begin at 6.00 PM. The cost of the tickets will be $35 per adult.

ATHLETES
JOSH CAGLE: FARIBAULT
Josh won a state championship for the Falcons and had a 152-23-1 high school record. Josh was 2nd in the NHSCA National Tournament for Seniors in Pittsburg, PA. Josh earned 3 NCAA All-American honors at Augsburg. Josh’s senior year was perfect, with a 40-0 mark. Josh capped it off with the 149-Pound Championship. Josh was selected as the Outstanding Wrestler of the 2000 National tournament! Only the second undefeated Auggie wrestler to go unbeaten during the season. Josh’s college career record was 139-17. A school Record at that time with 23 technical falls. The Auggie Wrestlers won the NCAA National Team tournament in dominating fashion.
PARKER BRAND: RUSHFORD-PETERSON HS & LARP
Parker had an outstanding High School career with a 145-39 mark for his career, second all-time at LARP (Lewiston-Altura/Rushford-Peterson). Parker was a pinner with 80 career pins. In Parker’s last three years as a prep wrestler he climbed the ladder; he placed second at 171 as a Sophomore, 3rd place at 189 as a junior. The dream season came in 2008 as Parker had the perfect season, by going 44-0, winning the 215-pound state championship! Parker followed it up with a 3rd place finish at the NHSCA Nationals at 215! Parker earned the Most Pins award in the least amount of time at 215. Parker took the NJCAA by surprise his Freshman year at RCTC and was the National Runner Up at 197 Pounds. Parker also qualified for NJCAA Nationals his senior year. All around great athlete at Rushford-Peterson HS!
SHANE MASCHING: HAYFIELD HIGH SCHOOL
Shane won three straight high state championships in Class at State Powerhouse Hayfield High School. In 2002, as a sophomore compiled a 38-1 Mark at 125 Pounds in the Class A State Tournament! Shane duplicated that feat with his second State title at 125 with an identical record of 38-1. His senior year in 2004, turned in a stellar 40-0 mark and his 3rd State title in a row. 126-2 mark over his last 3 years. Shane was 182-23 in his high school career. Shane got involved coaching at the youth program and has been the head coach of the Westfield Razorbacks, Hayfield is now paired with neighbor Blooming Prairie. Shane is coaching the 10th season of the Program in those two important programs!

DUDLEY FLODEEN: CANNON FALLS HIGH SCHOOL
Dudley started as an assistant coach at Cannon Falls in the late 1990’s and took over the Program shortly thereafter. Nearing his 25th Year has always turned in outstanding wrestlers and quality teams at Cannon Falls. Dudley has gone the extra mile over the years as he coaches the Freestyle and Greco teams in the spring and summer as well. Dudley had been a member of the coaching staff for Minnesota USA Wrestling and has served as the assistant coach /director for the juniors. Wrestling is blessed to have the likes of Dudley Flodeen as one of its own!

WAYNE LEXVOLD: KENYON-WANAMINGO
Wayne Lexvold has been an outstanding youth and assistant coach for over 40 years at Kenyon-Wanamingo. Wayne started out coaching elementary wrestling right out of high school for Coach Bill Sutter at Goodhue! Wayne got involved when his sons started in junior high at Kenyon-Wanamingo, Wayne was an assistant to HOF head coach Matt Ryan and coached with Chad Olson as well. Wayne himself was 91-9 in his High School Career, and 3rd in the state!. Wayne got really excited when K-W started going to the state dual meet tournament on a regular basis. All four sons were permanent fixtures & standouts in the K-W program His son Nathan is now the head coach at Kenyon-Wanamingo!

TOM KUISLE: WABASHA
Tom started coaching in 1973 at Tracy, MN and officiated as well. Closing in on almost 50 years, Tom coached for 35 of those years. Tom has officiated all those years at all levels and continues to serve as MN/USA Officials Director. Tom started back in the old AAU days, and saw the National Governing body change hands to USA Wrestling; and still is at his peak today. Tom was a key member of the “The Kuisle Family Legacy Family Award”, which was honored with the MCC Section 1 HOF! Wrestling is lucky to have Tom as one of their own in promoting Wrestling and providing opportunities for our wrestlers.

MARY DAVIS: OWATONNA
Mary served 25 years as the Owatonna Open Registration ChairPerson, and six years at the Hutch Open! Mary has also served as the NWHOF-MN Chapter Registration Chair for the past 20 years and was recently selected in 2020 for a lifetime service award to the NWHOF. Mary was selected as the “Wrestling USA Magazine” Coaches Wife of the year in 1999! Mary always gives a powerful prayer at the NWHOF banquets in MN.

RYAN MARX (PLAINVIEW-ELGIN-MILLVILLE)
Ryan Marx was a 3X State entrant at PEM High School. The Elgin-Millville HS graduate and a two-time state finalist. Ryan climaxed his Senior season with a perfect 35-0 mark, winning the 171 Pound State Title in the 2-Class system.. Ryan’s high school career record was 95-33-1. Ryan took his talents to NCAA II St. Cloud State University and finished his career with a 5th place finish at the 1999 NCAA II Championships at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Ryan served as a graduate assistant to his head collegiate coach Steve Grimmit at St. Cloud State University, and Ryan started his teaching and coaching career in 2001 at Fillmore Central High School (Harmony/Preston/Mabel-Canton). Ryan moved back home to PEM to teach and assist in Wrestling. Ryan eventually became the head coach and compiled a 120-104-1 Coaching record. Ryan also runs a Driving School.
