MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling team heads to St. Cloud to face off against the No. 2-ranked Huskies on Thursday at 7 p.m. This matchup will be the last dual of the 2021-22 regular season for the Dragons.
The Dragons lost at No. 17 Minnesota State and Upper Iowa University last weekend. Against Upper Iowa, freshman Clayson Mele, junior Cole Jones, and junior Samuel Grove picked up wins for MSUM.
Jones is 10-7 at 133 for MSUM, while senior Braydon Ortloff is 4-4 at 165. Grove is 7-9 at 285 for the Dragons.
Kris Nelson is in his 13th season as head coach at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

The Huskies are 11-1 on the season and 4-0 in the NSIC after defeating #17 ranked Minnesota State University Mankato last weekend. The Huskies have eight wrestlers ranked in the top eight in the national, led by No. 1-ranked Joey Bianchini at 141 at 20-0. Noah Ryan is 17-0 and ranked No. 2 at 197 while Garrett Vos (17-1 at 133), Colby Njos (14-2 at 157), and Kam Teacher (9-0 at 285) are also ranked second nationally. Steve Costanzo is in his 16th season as head coach at St. Cloud State University.
