Eight Huskies ranked in final 2021-22 NWCA Regular Season Poll

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – No. 2 St. Cloud State Wrestling will bring eight wrestlers ranked by the National Wrestling Coaches Association to the 2022 Super Region V Tournament next week, as SCSU landed second once again in the NWCA’s fourth and final regular-season poll on Friday. Five wrestlers are ranked in the top-three of their weights, while the other three are all in the top seven.

Joseph Bianchini remains the No. 1 wrestler at 141, joined in the top-three by No. 2 Kameron Teacher (HWT), No. 2 Noah Ryan (197), No. 3 Garrett Vos (133), and the Top-12 debut of No. 3 Anthony Herrera (157). 125-pounder Paxton Creese and 184-pounder Billy Pitzner each rose one spot to No. 6, while Dominic Murphy rounds out the Huskies’ ranked athletes with the No. 7 spot at 174 pounds.

With the individual placement points, St. Cloud State earned the No. 2 spot in the Top 25, 16 points behind Central Oklahoma. Nebraska-Kearney, West Liberty, and McKendree round out the top five respectively.

NWCA NCAA DII Rankings – February 18, 2022

The Super Region V Tournament will be held on Saturday, February 26 at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
