NSIC-high seven Huskies earn All-NSIC honors

St. Cloud, Minn. – A Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference-leading seven St. Cloud State wrestlers have earned All-NSIC honors, per the conference’s release on Wednesday morning. Five Huskies – Paxton Creese, Garrett Vos, Joseph Bianchini, Anthony Herrera, and Noah Ryan – picked up First Team nods while Billy Pitzner and Kameron Teacher each received Second Team selections.

No. 6 Paxton Creese went 15-2 in the regular season, earning nine bonus-point wins as the Huskies’ starter at 125 pounds. 133-pounder and No. 3-ranked Garrett Vos chartered a 17-1 record with nine bonus-point wins, while Joseph Bianchini held the No. 1 spot at 141 throughout the entire season and went 23-0 with 11 of his wins in the bonus. No. 3 Anthony Herrera enjoyed a fantastic debut season with SCSU, earning the starting job at 157 pounds while going 15-1. 197-pounder No. 2 Noah Ryan rounds out the First Teamers with a vintage season marked by consistency, taking a 20-0 record into the Super Region V Tournament.

No. 6 Billy Pitzner went 13-2 in the regular season with six bonus-point wins, while heavyweight Kameron Teacher stood strong at No. 2 all year long. Teacher went 12-0 with seven wins in the bonus and enters the postseason six wins shy of his 100th collegiate victory.

2021-22 NSIC All-Conference Teams

The Super Region V Tournament will be held on Saturday, February 26 at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
