BURNSVILLE, Minn.– Augustana wrestling head coach Jason Reitmeier has been named the NSIC Coach of the Year, announced by the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference on Thursday morning.
Reitmeier led the Vikings to the most conference wins in his coaching career this season. In the conference, the Vikings finished 8-1 and were runners-up in the NSIC. The Vikings then finished second at the NCAA Division II Region V Championships.

Augustana defeated six top-25 teams this season, consistently holding a national ranking throughout the season. The Vikings also qualified eight wrestlers for the 2022 NCAA DII National Championships.
Earlier this season, Reitmeier was honored for surpassing 200 dual wins as a head coach. He is also the winningest coach in program history, a feat he reached in 2016 with the Vikings.
The NSIC Coach of the Year is the second of his career, having also earned the honor following the 2009-10 season.
