St. Cloud State Wrestling Set for NCAA Championships in St. Louis

Huskies seek fourth straight, sixth overall National Title in Gateway City

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – No. 3 St. Cloud State Wrestling is set to compete at the 2022 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships, slated to take place March 11-12 at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Mo. The Huskies are seeking their fourth consecutive team National Championship and sixth in the last seven years this weekend after winning national titles in 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2021 (no championships held in 2020 due to pandemic).

Each day of the tournament will have two sessions, cumulating with the championship finals matches on Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m. CT. All sessions will be streamed through NCAA.com.

The Huskies enter the championships following their 11th consecutive NSIC Championship and sixth consecutive Super Region V Championship. The Huskies closed off a 14-1 dual season and a perfect 7-0 mark in NSIC duals with a 30-6 win over No. 10 Augustana and Feb. 17. The win increased the Huskies’ dual win streak to a remarkable 88 consecutive victories. At the Super Region V Championships in Moorhead on Feb. 26, the Huskies won their sixth consecutive team title with 136.5 points while five won individual titles.
