Deegan, Peterson lead a Warriors squad with three returning national qualifiers
WILLMAR — Combining their college wrestling experience, first-year co-head coaches Travis Deegan and Logan Peterson hope to keep Ridgewater wrestling trending upward.
Deegan was an assistant coach last season under Joey Brown. A 2015 Willmar High School grad, Deegan wrestled at Ridgewater in 2015-16 before transferring to Concordia-Moorhead for three seasons.
Peterson won the 2014 Class A 152-pound championship his senior year at Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City. He went on to wrestle five years at South Dakota State University. Peterson was also a volunteer wrestling coach at Cleveland State University in Ohio while earning his master’s degree.
