SIOUX FALLS, S.D.–The Augustana wrestling team is on the road for a pair of NSIC duals this weekend. The Vikings start with a dual against Parkside on Friday night at 7 p.m. in Kenosha, Wisconsin. On Saturday, AU heads to Upper Iowa for a dual slated to begin at 4 p.m.

Parkside is ranked nationally in the ninth spot. The Rangers hold an overall record of 4-0 and a conference record of 2-0. Parkside defeated No. 3 St. Cloud State in its most recent matchup and saw victories in six weight classes.
Six wrestlers are individually ranked for the Rangers: Shane Corrigan (No. 9 at 125 pounds), Jahlen Spuhler (No. 10 at 149 pounds), Ben Durocher (No. 12 at 157 pounds), Shane Gantz (No. 1 at 165 pounds), Reece Worachek (No. 10 at 184 pounds) and Lloyd Reynolds (No. 10 at 285 pounds).
Last season, Augustana defeated Parkside 21-19 on February 12, 2022. The Vikings picked up wins in five weight classes.
Upper Iowa is also nationally ranked at No. 9. UIU is 6-2 overall and 2-0 in NSIC action. The Peacocks defeated MSU Moorhead 34-9 and Northern State 26-10 last weekend in NSIC duals.
UIU has four wrestlers that are individually ranked in Tate Murty (No. 5 at 141 pounds), Chase Luensman (No. 2 at 165 pounds), Dalton Hahn (No. 9 at 197 pounds) and Zach Ryg (No. 9 at 285 pounds).
The Vikings hold a record of 7-6 overall and 1-1 in NSIC action. The Vikings defeated Minot State at the Elmen Center last week before falling to No. 3 St. Cloud State on Sunday. Augustana opened 2023 action at the NWCA National Duals where the team went 1-3. Augustana defeated No. 18 Mercyhurst on the second day of the national duals.
Two Vikings were individually ranked in the latest NWCA rankings. Jaxson Rohman saw the fifth spot in the poll at 125 pounds. Rohman has a record of 10-3 this season with four falls. At 157 pounds, Miles Fitzgerald is in the 10th spot in the poll. Fitzgerald is 14-8 overall this season with one technical fall, three major decision wins and nine wins by decision.
