SIOUX FALLS, S.D.–The No. 14 Augustana wrestling team hosts two NSIC opponents at the Elmen Center this weekend. On Friday, the No. 14 UMary Marauders come to town for a dual scheduled for 8 p.m., taking place after the high school dual that takes place at 6 p.m. The Vikings are set to take on the Minnesota State Mavericks on Saturday at 7 p.m. for Parent’s Night.

The Marauders
UMary holds a record of 11-2 overall and 4-1 in NSIC action. The Marauders are nationally ranked at 14 and have two individually ranked wrestlers. Reece Barnhardt is ranked third at 133 pounds and Max Bruss is ranked second at 174 pounds.
UMary fell short to No. 7 Parkside last Friday, losing 31-9. The Marauders were able to split the weekend with a win over No. 10 Upper Iowa on Saturday. The final score of the UIU dual was 18-12 in favor of the Marauders.
The Mavericks
Minnesota State is 5-3 overall and 2-3 in the NSIC. The Mavericks are receiving votes in the latest NWCA poll with two individually ranked wrestlers. Brock Luthens holds the 12th spot at 141 pounds. Darell Mason, the 2022 National Champion at 285 pounds, is ranked seventh in the NWCA poll.
MSU fell to Northern State 19-17 last Friday before toppling MSU Moorhead on Saturday, 30-9.
The Vikings
Augustana is nationally ranked at No. 14 in the latest NWCA Top-25 poll. Six Vikings are individually ranked: Jaxson Rohman (No. 8 at 125 pounds), Jack Huffman (No. 12 at 133 pounds), Miles Fitzgerald (No. 10 at 157 pounds), Tyler Wagener (No. 6 at 165 pounds), Kolby Kost (No. 7 at 174 pounds) and Cade Mueller (No. 10 at 184 pounds).
AU holds a record of 8-9 overall and 3-3 in conference action. The Vikings defeated Dakota Wesleyan and No.22 Southwest Minnesota State in their last matchups.
