INDIANAPOLIS — South Dakota State will send a program-record eight wrestlers to the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships with the additions of Tanner Jordan and Cade King to the tournament field as at-large selections Tuesday.

Both Jordan and King will be making their first appearances at the national meet and will join six Jackrabbits who earned automatic bids out of their placings at last weekend’s Big 12 Wrestling Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The SDSU contingent, which also includes Clay Carlson (141 pounds), Cael Swensen (157), Tanner Cook (165), Cade DeVos (174), Tanner Sloan (197), and A.J. The Jackrabbits previously qualified seven individuals for the national meet in 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio. SDSU placed 12th as a team that season with three All-Americans, including national champion Seth Gross.
