INDIANAPOLIS – North Dakota State wrestling sophomore DJ Parker received an at-large bid to the 2023 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships in Tulsa in two weeks, announced the NCAA Tuesday afternoon with the release of 47 at-large selections to complete the field.
Parker, along with the other 46 at-large selections, join the 283 student-athletes that qualified through their conference tournament finishes over the weekend. The 184-pounder is 18-10 on the season, including a pair of ranked victories, and finished fifth overall at the Big 12 Championships, one spot out of an automatic bid.
North Dakota State will have six total selections for the NCAA Tournament, as Parker joins Big 12 157-pound Champion Jared Franek, as well as McGwire Midkiff (133), Kellyn March (149), Michael Caliendo (165) and Owen Pentz (197).
Seeding and brackets for this year’s wrestling national championships will be revealed tomorrow, March 7, during the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships Selection Show on NCAA.com at 7 p.m. CT.
