A pair of three-time Minnesota state champions are on the national all-star team taking on a Pennsylvania all-star team tonight at Peters Township High School outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. New Prague’s Koy Buesgens and Simley’s Gavin Nelson are set to compete at 145 and 215 pounds, respectively at the annual Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic.
Buesgens, a North Carolina State recruit and ranked No. 2 nationally by Intermat, will meet No. 4 Mac Church, a Virginia Tech signee. No. 3 Nelson, who will wrestle for The Gophers next season, will take on #13 Sonny Sasso, who is also a Virginia Tech recruit.
The event will be streamed live on Flowrestling.org. A Pennsylvania team is scheduled to take on an Ohio All-Star team at 3 p.m. (CT) and the Pennsylvania All-Stars vs USA All-Stars at 5 p.m.
