MANHEIM, Pa. — MSU Moorhead wrestlers Jonas Anez, Parker Benz, Gunnar Mogen, and Samuel Grove have all been named to the NWCA Scholar All-America team.
In order for a student-athlete to be nominated to the Division II Scholar All-American Team, he must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale, with that benchmark at 3.25 for those who qualified for the 2023 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships and a 3.0 for those who were All-Americans at the 2023 Nationals. Wrestlers must have competed in four dates of competition.
Anez is a true freshman 165-pounder for the Dragons who is majoring in exercise science. Benz is a redshirt freshman 141-pounder who is majoring in accounting. Grove makes his second appearance on the NWCA Scholar All-America list this season. The 197-pounder in obtaining his master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. Mogen also made his second trip to the Scholar All-America team this year; the 149-pounder is majoring in biology with an emphasis in health and medical sciences.
