MINNEAPOLIS – Two University of Minnesota wrestlers have earned spots on the 2023 Academic All-District Men’s At-Large Team, College Sports Communicators announced Tuesday.
Representing Minnesota Wrestling are Bailee O’Reilly and Isaiah Salazar.
To be considered for a CSC Academic All-District Team, nominees must have met the following criteria:
- Nominated athletes must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at their current institution.
- Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s games.
- No student-athlete is eligible until they have completed one full calendar year at their current institution and been on a college roster in that sport for two years.
- In the cases of transfers, graduate students, and two-year college graduates, the student-athlete must have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution to be eligible. Nominees in graduate school must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above both as an undergrad and in grad school.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced June 21 for the men and June 22 for the women.
