MOORHEAD, Minn. — MSU Moorhead wrestling has solidified its schedule ahead of the winter 2023-24 season. The Dragons will host seven home duals throughout the year as well as its annual Dragon Open early in the season.
MSUM will begin its year with a pair of open tournaments, first at the Jimmie Open on November 4 and then at the DWU Open on November 11. The Dragons competed at both opens last season. The Kris Nelson-led squad will then host the University of Jamestown on November 16 to open the dual season. Following the battle with the Jimmies, MSUM will compete at the Younes Hospitality Open, hosted by Nebraska-Kearney on November 18. To close out the open slate, MSUM will host the annual Dragon Open on December 3 inside Nemzek Fieldhouse.
The Dragons will travel just four times during the NSIC dual stretch with visits to St. Cloud State (Dec. 9), Augustana (Jan. 20), Southwest Minnesota State (Jan. 21) and the University of Mary (Feb. 15). All remaining duals will take place inside the friendly confines of Nemzek Fieldhouse as MSUM will host duals against Northern State (Jan. 11), Minnesota State (Jan. 25), Parkside (Feb. 2), Sioux Falls (Feb, 3) and Minot State (Feb. 18). The Dragons will also welcome fellow Moorhead resident Concordia College on February 9.
