Alex Braun of Woodbury has committed to wrestling for University of Oklahoma following his upcoming senior season.
Braun is a three-time state placewinner, winning the Class AAA 145-pound title in 2023 as a junior. He placed sixth at 126 pounds as a sophomore and third at 113 pounds as a freshman. Braun was a state entrant at 106 pounds as an eighth-grader.
Braun was a USA Wrestling Junior double All-American in Fargo this past summer, placing fifth in freestyle and seventh in Greco at 145 pounds. He was also a 16U double All-American in Fargo in 2022.
Braun is projected to wrestle at 149 pounds for the Sooners.
