Dragons Head to Minot for NCAA Super Region V

MOORHEAD, Minn. — MSU Moorhead wrestling will travel to Minot, N.D., on Saturday, March 2, for the annual NCAA Super Region V Tournament. Action from the North Dakota State Fairgrounds is set to begin at 9 a.m.

MSUM ended the regular season, falling to Minot State in dual action on February 18. In that dual, Hunter Hayes earned his third straight victory with a technical fall at 3:00. Wayne Mellon collected a win be decision for the Dragons against the Beavers as well.

Redshirt freshman Isaiah Huus leads the Dragons in wins this season with 20 on his ledger for 2023-24. Huus also leads the squad with eight wins by fall and five by major decision at 197 pounds. Hunter Heim leads MSUM with three technical falls this season, followed closely by the aforementioned Hayes and 184-pounder Will Price, who each have two this season. In total, eight Dragons have tallied ten or more wins this year, led by Huus, who is joined by Hayes (10), Heim (10), Price (15), Gunnar Mogen (11), Jacob Reinardy (14), Anthony Sykora (13) and Cody Wienen (16).
