Augustana Lands 14 Wrestlers on NSIC Winter All-Academic Teams

BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Augustana athletics garnered 98 student-athletes, including 14 wrestlers, on the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-Academic honors list for the winter sports season. Announced three times a year, Augustana had 97 student-athletes named to the Fall All-Academic team, bringing the 2023-24 season total to 195 Vikings.

“To have nearly 100 student-athletes recognized for their academic distinction is so impressive,” said Augustana Vice President for Athletics Josh Morton. “Along the way, our winter sports also took home another NSIC Championship trophy as we look to win our 3rd straight NSIC All-Sports Award”

To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student-athlete must have a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher, while NSIC All-Academic Team members must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher.

Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, redshirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
