Rohman, Burnett Named to All-NSIC First Team

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- Augustana wrestling landed a pair of members to the All-NSIC teams, announced Tuesday morning by the league office. Jaxson Rohman and Hunter Burnett each earned All-NSIC First Team nods.

Jaxson Rohman – 125 pounds
Rohman, a junior from Trimont, Minnesota, earns his first career all-conference honor after a dominant season. The 125-pounder went 7-0 against NSIC foes in dual meets. He won by major decision five times and via fall once, with his only decision in NSIC duals coming against then-No. 3 ranked Shane Corrigan of UW-Parkside.

On the season, Rohman is 19-4 overall and just went 2-1 at the NCAA Super Region V Tournament to finish second place, earning his third consecutive trip to the NCAA DII National Tournament. He will look to build off a National Runner-Up finish a season ago.

Hunter Burnett – 141 pounds
Burnett, the senior from Pipestone, Minnesota, earns his fourth career All-NSIC honor and first All-NSIC First Team nod. The 141-pounder went a perfect 6-0 in NSIC duals, racking up two major decisions, a pin, and a tech fall while earning a total of 25 team points in six dual bouts.

Burnett holds a record of 14-1 on the season and is fresh off an NCAA Super Region V Tournament Championship, where he earned a pin of No. 3 Cayden Henschel in the championship bout. He has now qualified for four NCAA DII National Tounaments in his career, and will look for his second All-American nod March 15-16 in Wichita, Kansas.
