Six Huskies Earn All-NSIC Honors

Novak earns NSIC First Team honors, five Huskies named to Second Team

BURNSVILLE, Minn. – No. 4 St. Cloud State Wrestling had a league-best six student-athletes named All-NSIC on Tuesday as the conference office announced their All-Conference teams. Junior 157-pounder Nick Novak (New Prague, Minn.) earned First Team honors while redshirt junior 149-pounder Colby Njos (Anoka, Minn.), graduate 165-pounder Anthony Herrera (Stansbury Park, Utah), freshman 174-pounder Cole Glazier (Kasson, Minn.), redshirt junior 184-pounder Bryce FitzPatrick (Mahtomedi, Minn.) and redshirt senior 197-pounder Dominic Murphy (Evergreen Park, Ill.) were named to the Second Team.

Novak has followed up his undefeated 2023 national championship campaign with another undefeated season this 2023-24. Entering the NCAA Championships, Novak is 21-0 with 11 wins coming by bonus points (one major decision, nine technical falls, one fall). This past weekend, Novak captured his third consecutive and second straight Super Region V championship at 157 pounds to earn a trip back to the NCAA Tournament.

Njos and Murphy are also coming off Super Region V titles at their respective weight classes, as Njos earned his first career regional title while Murphy won his second straight at 197 pounds. Njos enters the NCAA Championships with a mark of 15-2 with seven bonus point wins (one MDs, two TFs, four Falls), while Murphy enters at 18-3 with eight bonus point victories (five MDs, three TFs).

Herrera is 16-4 on the season with ten bonus points (four MDs, four TFs, two Falls), while FitzPatrick is 14-3 on the season with ten bonus point victories (three TFs, seven Falls). Glazier broke into the lineup midway through the season and is having a banner season in his freshman campaign, posting a 27-2 record with 20 bonus victories (seven MDs, seven TFs, six Falls).
