11 Huskies Named NWCA Scholarship All-Americans

Program produces 11+ Scholarship All-Americans for fourth consecutive season

MANHEIM, Pa. – 11 St. Cloud State wrestlers have been named 2023-24 Scholar All-Americans by the National Wrestling Coaches Association as announced by the NWCA last week. The 11 Huskies Scholar All-Americans matches the program’s second-highest total and is the fourth consecutive season where St. Cloud State has produced 11+ Scholar All-Americans.

Wyatt Abele, Colton Bornholdt, Augustus Donovan, Dominic Ducato, Nathan Fury, Cole Glazier, Ethan Hendrickson, Anthony Herrera, Phillip Kue, Dominic Murphy, and Nick Novak all earned the Scholar All-American status. Bornholdt, Ducato, Fury, Glazier, and Hendrickson are all first-time recipients, Abele and Kue are second-time honorees, and Donovan, Herrera, Murphy, and Novak earned the honor for the third time in their careers.

In order for a student-athlete to be nominated to the Division II Scholar All-American Team, he must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale, with that benchmark at 3.25 for those who qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships and a 3.0 for those who were All-Americans at the 2024 Nationals. Wrestlers must have competed in four dates of competition.

Under head coach Steve Costanzo, 159 student-athletes have earned Scholar All-American honors.
