St. Cloud State Adds Nine to 2024 Signing Class

Huskies’ 2024 recruiting class increases to 17

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Wrestling head coach, Steve Costanzo has announced the addition of nine student-athletes to the Huskies’ strong 2024 recruiting class. Landyn Crance (Union City, Mich.), Brandon Eusebio (San Diego, Calif.), Isaiah Foster (Wahoo, Neb.), Patrick Kubisa (Hopkins, Minn.), Dominic Mann (Kasson, Minn.), La’Ron Parks (South Euclid, Ohio), David Platt (Hibbing, Minn.), Gabriel Smith (Pullman, Wash.) and Jeroen Smith (Pullman, Wash).

Along with their new additions, the Huskies signed eight additional standouts for 2024-25 in the fall of this past year. Hudson Burnett (Pipestone, Minn.), Vance Barz (Sauk Rapids, Minn.), Mason Carpenter (Oshkosh, Wis.), Led Edblad Cambridge, Minn.), Austin Grzywinski (West St. Paul, Minn.), Brody Hart (Neenah, Wis.), Jayce Luna (Bettendorf, Iowa) and Hunter Robbins (Canton, Ill.).

“I believe our staff has fulfilled the needs in adding depth and additional experience to our ten respected weight classes,” said Coach Costanzo, “This is a highly decorated group of individuals that check-mark all of the characteristics Huskies Wrestling is looking for. I am very excited for the challenges 2024-25 has to offer. We will be ready!”

He has a huge upside, and we will lean on him to make our lower weights better.”

“Patrick is an excellent addition to our program,” said Coach Costanzo, “He hasn’t been wrestling very long, but is really starting to develop. Kubisa is an outstanding athlete with a lot of strength and explosion. I feel his best years are ahead of him as he is going to keep getting better.”

With this type of commitment at the college level, good things are going to happen for Dominic.”

“La’Ron is an excellent pick-up for Huskies wrestling,” said Coach Costanzo, “He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our room after earning NCAA All-American honors at 285-pounds. We are definitely going to be leaning on him for his leadership and knowledge. Parks will make Huskies wrestling a dominate force this up-and-coming season.”

David Platt | Hibbing, Minn. | Hibbing High School/Minnesota North – Itasca C.C.

Platt has a passion for the sport and competes very hard. We are expecting good things to come from this young man!”

“I am very excited to get Gabriel on board,” said Coach Costanzo, “He will be joined by his brother (Jeroen) for the first time since high school. Gabriel adds more experience and national accolades to the room. He is hard-nosed competitor with a high ceiling. I look for this young man to do some amazing things for Huskies Wrestling in the next few years.”

“For the first time since high school, Jeroen and his brother (Gabriel) will reunite as teammates again,” said Coach Costanzo, “This is a great situation for these guys as they are very close to one another. In addition, I am very excited to have Jeroen board the Huskies train. He is very explosive, strong and fast. He already wrestles like a collegiate wrestler and is fun to watch compete. We are going to have a great time with the Smith boys!”
