Augsburg’s Paige Haaf named to CSC Academic All-District team

MINNEAPOLIS — Augsburg University sophomore Paige Haaf has been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women’s At-Large Team, part of a group of six Auggies honored for their combined performances on the mat, on the ice, and in the classroom.

Haaf, a standout 131-pounder on the Augsburg women’s wrestling team, secured the first Academic All-District honor of her career. The recognition highlights a select group of student-athletes who maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher while making significant athletic contributions.

An elementary education and mathematics major, Haaf boasts a 3.83 GPA. Her academic excellence, paired with her performance on the mat, also earned her a second consecutive Scholar All-America honor from the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) this season. Haaf transferred to Augsburg after spending her freshman season at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, where she earned her first NWCA academic accolade.

On the mat, Haaf put together a balanced 13-13 record during the 2025-26 campaign. Known for her ability to end matches quickly, she recorded nine pins and one technical fall this year alone. In her two collegiate seasons, Haaf has accumulated an 18-26 overall record, featuring 14 total pins.

Haaf was one of six Augsburg student-athletes named to the district team, which caps nominations at six per school for the highly competitive At-Large program. The At-Large category encompasses 13 NCAA women’s sports, including wrestling, ice hockey, lacrosse, and golf.

Joining Haaf on the Academic All-District team were four members of the Augsburg women’s hockey team: senior defender Nora Stepan, senior forward Emily Schoeberl, senior forward Kate Haug, and senior defender Tenley Stewart. Junior lacrosse midfielder Leila Klym rounded out the six Auggie honorees.

Stepan, a biochemistry major with a 3.99 GPA who led the Auggies with 32 points this season, will advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Voting by CSC members will take place later this month, with the national honorees scheduled to be announced on July 7.

The Academic All-District and All-America programs are administered by College Sports Communicators, with the Division III program receiving financial backing from the NCAA Division III national governance structure to support awards fulfillment.
