ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Two St. Cloud State University wrestlers have been named finalists for the prestigious Academic All-America® team after securing spots on the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® At-Large team, officials announced Tuesday.
Redshirt sophomores Dominic Ducato and Cole Glazier were the lone Huskies wrestlers selected to the list, which recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the mat and in the classroom.
Both Ducato and Glazier advanced as national finalists and will move on to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, with first-, second-, and third-team honors scheduled to be announced on July 8.
The duo represents a dominant showing for the Huskies’ wrestling program under the rigorous academic and athletic standards required for the at-large program. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and compete in at least 70% of the team’s scoring events or participate in their weight class at a conference championship tournament.
Ducato, a Carpentersville, Illinois native majoring in recreation and sports management, carries a 3.62 GPA. Glazier, who hails from Kasson, Minnesota, shares the same major and boasts a 3.56 GPA.
The two wrestlers were part of a larger 12-athlete cohort from St. Cloud State to earn Academic All-District honors this year, joining six players from the women’s hockey team and four from the men’s hockey team.
