The legacy of University of Minnesota Athletics will be celebrated on September 22, 2011 at Ted Mann Concert Hall with the induction of 9 former Golden Gopher standouts into the “M” Club Hall of Fame.
The St. Cloud Husky Wrestling program looks to start its 61st wrestling season this year with another challenging competition schedule. The Huskies will be facing 10 different teams that placed in the top 25 in their respective collegiate division last season. The Huskies will also be competing in four open tournaments and three regular season dual meet tournaments.
Ann Arbor, Mich. — University of Michigan wrestling head coach Joe McFarland announced Tuesday (Sept. 6) the addition of Kyle Massey to the coaching staff. Massey, an All-America heavyweight at Wisconsin, will serve as the Wolverines’ volunteer coach.
St. Cloud State University will offer its 2011 Fall Wrestling Clinic on Saturday, Oct. 29 in the University’s Halenbeck Hall Fieldhouse. This clinic is open to all youth wrestlers from grades K-12, and it will feature a special appearance by guest clinician 2011 NCAA Division II champion John Sundgren.
The St. Cloud State University Wrestling Program hosted its 6th Annual Husky Golf Classic on Friday August 26th 2011 at Wapicada Golf course.
St. Cloud State University Director of Athletics Dr. Morris Kurtz has announced the hiring of Brady Wilson as an assistant coach for the Husky wrestling program, which captured runner-up honors at the 2011 NCAA Division II wrestling championships. The Huskies will also add Tyson Reiner as a graduate assistant wrestling coach to the program in 2011-12.
