Air Force Rolls to 37-6 Victory Over South Dakota State

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Winning seven of nine contested bouts, the Air Force wrestling team earned a 37-6 conference dual victory over South Dakota State on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Falcons improve to 7-4 overall and 2-2 in Western Wrestling Conference action, while the Jackrabbits fall to 3-4 overall and 0-2 in the WWC.

Iowa 19 Minnesota 17

Minnesota Comes up Short at Iowa, 19-17The No. 3 Minnesota wrestling team came up short this afternoon against No. 5 Iowa. Minnesota fell to the Hawkeyes 19-17 inside Carver Hawkeye Arena.

With the loss Minnesota (9-3, 6-1) still is top the Big Ten standings. Penn State and Nebraska each sit at 5-1 in the Big Ten, in a tie for second.

Mavericks Fall to No. 3 Augustana 18-15 in NSIC Dual

Mankato, Minn. — A crucial pin by Sean Derry over Minnesota State’s Derek Hahn at 197-lb broke a 12-12 tie that sparked Augustana to a 18-15 win in NSIC dual action.

MSU came out strong at 125-lb as sophomore David Demo used a three point near fall en route to a defeat of No. 6 Cody Lensing via an 8-5 decision.
