Rosemount’s Hedin stays unbeaten

Adam Hedin showed he belonged among the best wrestlers in the state of Minnesota last winter when he earned all-state honors at Xcel Energy Center.

Last weekend, he proved he’s among the best in the Midwest at 138 pounds. The junior defeated a three-time state champion from Rapid City (S.D) Stevens in the semifinals and a four-time state champ from Oakes (N.D.) in the finals to cap off a 5-0 run at the 62-team Rumble on the Red at the Fargo Dome. #7 St. Cloud State to compete at 2015 NWCA DII National Duals

The #7 St. Cloud State University wrestling team (3-1, 0-0 NSIC) will continue its 2014-15 season with a trip to the 2015 NWCA Division II National Duals tournament in Fort Wayne Ind. on Jan. 9-10.  This 16-team tournament will be held at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Ind. and it will feature 12 teams ranked among the nation’s top 20 NCAA Division II wrestling programs.

Minnesota Wrestling: Coach’s Corner with Brandon Eggum

In the brand-new episode of Coach’s Corner, Gopher Wrestling Head Assistant Coach Brandon Eggum previews this Friday’s Big Ten dual between top-ranked Minnesota and No. 17 Michigan. Looking at the probable starters on both sides, the meet should feature an exciting bout card with as many as 15 ranked wrestlers and six ranked-versus-ranked matches. Eggum provides fans with insight into what to watch for throughout the dual’s 10 matches.
