Bisek wins Greco-Roman gold at Haparanda Cup in Sweden

HAPARANDA, Sweden – Three U.S. Greco-Roman wrestlers won gold medals at the 2012 Haparanda Cup on Sunday.

Schiller pins Boise State’s Dixon at 1:31 in the first period of the 197 weight class

The Golden Gopher wrestling team continued its dominance in the first stretch of the season, defeating the Boise State Broncos, 30-6, today at the Sports Pavilion in Minneapolis, Minn. Augsburg claims 2 titles at Auggie-Brute Open

MINNEAPOLIS — Defending heavyweight national champion Chad Johnson (JR, Ferryville, Wis./De Soto HS) and 133-pounder Tossaporn “Boyd” Suparat (SR, North Branch, Minn.) won individual titles on Saturday, leading the Augsburg College wrestling team at its Auggie-Brute Open tournament at Si Melby Hall.

Twelve Auggies earned top-five finishes and 16 of the 23 Auggies were placewinners at the tournament, which featured 19 NCAA Division III, II, NAIA and club programs, with 330 wrestlers in open competition. No team results were kept at the meet. Continue reading
