Without them there would be no games – it would only be “recess.” For two years now the Minnesota State High School League has implemented an extensive awards program, and at the 2012 State Boys’ Basketball Tournament two officials associations and eight individuals were recognized for their special efforts and accomplishments. Former Olympic Brandon Paulson goes from wrestling mat to mentoring

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — The Road to London begins in what might look like an industrial park warehouse in Shoreview. But the PINnacle is anything but. It is a wrestling dream factory.

“I know a lot of coaches don’t want kids to dream because they’re scared of failure. I totally disagree,” explained Brandon Paulson, a former Olympian, “I want kids to dream. The story behind the NYWA wrestling tournament

March 29-April 1 will mark the 17th year of the Northland Youth Wrestling Association’s (NYWA) state folk style tournament. The Mayo Civic Center’s Taylor Arena will again be the site of all the exciting action over a four-day period starting this Thursday.
